Andy Hadland is an Executive Director at BW ESS, responsible for overseeing our BESS projects in Australia.
Andy has an extensive background, having worked in the energy sector for 16+ years with over a decade focused on storage. Most recently as an Advisor at Entrix and prior to this, he was the Global Chief Strategy Officer at Eku Energy where he led technology, markets, and trading in EMEA. He was part of Arenko’s founding team in 2015 where he worked on BESS development (pre-EFR) and then established the UK’s first fully automated BESS trading and asset management desk.
Andy holds an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and a B.Eng. (Hons) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
